Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) talent hunt program, District Peshawar Under-19 Women’s Trials were conducted at Qayyum Sports Complex, Peshawar, in which more than a hundred women players participated.
On this occasion, PCB’s Assistant Manager Cricket Operations Women’s Haseena Khushboo was also present. While talking to the media, she said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is conducting trials at the grass-root level to find talented women cricketers in the country, under which trials are being conducted at various places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It was said that the trials will give women cricketers an opportunity to show their potential.
The trials will help the selection committee to find talent and in the selection of Pakistan U-19 women and emerging squads.
Hasina Khushboo said that through the trials in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa organized by the PCB, we will find new talented cricketers. We are trying to bring forward and there are many events for women cricketers in the coming days and these trials will help us find the best talent so that the selectors can consider them for the national squads.
He said that the trials in Mardan will be held at the Mardan Sports Complex today while the Abbottabad trials will be held at the Abbottabad Cricket Stadium on August 29. Athletes born on or after September 1, 2005 can participate in the trials.
