PESHAWAR: Minister for Social Welfare Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Hisham Inamullah Khan on Thursday said that people had rejected the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and its leaders were trying to deceive them through hollow slogans and empty promises. After a meeting with a delegation that called on him here, the KP social welfare minister said that people knew that the country was being led for the first time by a capable, brave and patriotic leadership and thereby they were standing by Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said Peshawar-Dera Motorway would usher in socio-economic prosperity of the southern districts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and added that Lakki Marwat district had been linked to the proposed Motorway at three places.
He said that he would soon contact Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and other relevant officials for constructing an interchange on Gambilla-Tajori road to facilitate people of the area including Bhattani people.
During the meeting, the minister was appreciated for approving paramedics and nursing college schemes costing Rs2.2 billion for Lakki Marwat district.
The minister said that the provincial government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan was focusing on the development of the southern district which had been neglected by the past rulers.
