PDMA demands 15000 tents for NDMA

Lahore (Online): Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has demanded as many as 15000 tents from National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in order to cater the needs of calamity hit people in case of flood.
These tents would be stored in Lahore and Muzaffar Garh to the quantity of 10000 and 5000 respectively.
This was informed by Chairman Cabinet Committee on Floods and also a Provincial Minister Malik Nadeem kamran in a statement. Malik Nadeem Kamran told that PDMA already has 36871 numbers of tents in its stock and it has also ordered more 10000 tents.
Malik Nadeem Kamran further told that PDMA has recently provided required food hampers, boats, plastic mats, mosquito nets, life jackets and life rings, dewatering pumps and blankets to the district
administrations of Sialkot and Norowal when there was flood situation in River Chenab and Nulas of Deg, Aik, Palkhu and Baen in those areas.
He also said that flooding water created road cuts at four different places in
Sialkot and Norowal which were made functional by installing belly bridges.
