Peshawar High Court (PHC) has stopped from recovering tax without mentioning their details in electricity bill.
A petition against recovery of different taxes in electricity bill came up for hearing in Peshawar High Court (PHC).
During the hearing court issued order of previous hearing as well.
The court stopped from recovering taxes in electricity bill without mentioning their details in bill.
The court order said according to the lawyer, the petitioner pays electricity bills regularly. Unnecessary taxes were included in electricity bill for the month of August without any explanation.
It has been said in the court’s order the respective authorities asked him to decode bar code of bill. When bar code was decoded then he came to know that extra taxes have been recovered in bill. These taxes were never before included in electricity bill.
PHC adjourned hearing of the case till September 2.
