KARACHI: PIA has stopped captain and first officer from fasting in the holy month of Ramadan. According to media report PIA has imposed ban on fasting by pilots and crew staff during the holy month of Ramadan. A safety alert has been issued for cabin crew. According to this safety alert the captain and first officer have been stopped from observing fast. A notification in this regard has been issued by chief of flight operations. The notification said the cabin crew who fast will not be allowed to perform their duty in any flight. It has been made binding on the fasting cabin crew members to inform the administration in advance about the fasting. Online
