Police arrest 658 in drive against criminals in Peshawar

The Capital City Police on Wednesday said thay have arrested 658 notorious criminals involved in murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, robberies police encounter, and theft during the last month.
According police spokesperson, SSP Operations Haroon-ul-Rashid Khan had directed quarters concerned to launch a special crackdown against anti-social elements across the provincial metropolis.
A special campaign has also been launched against the facilitators of criminals and proclaimed offenders.
In the special campaign, SP Saddar Circle Malik Habib Khan won the first position, SP Cantt Waqas Rafiq Khan the second position and SP Rural won the third position.
During the recent campaign, SDPO Warsak Muhammad Ishaq won the first position, SDPO Budh Bir Hasan Khan got the second position and SDPO President Muhammad Ali got the third position.
SHO Police Station Mathura Javed Marwat got the first position, SHO Police Station Pashtakhara Wajid Khan got the second position and SHO Budh Bir Ejazullah got the third position.
SSP Operations Haroon-ul-Rashid Khan has directed to speed up the actions to make the campaign against the PO successful, while in this context the process of freezing the bank accounts of them, blocking ID cards and passports have also accelerated.
It should be noted that during the last month, including the arrest of dangerous criminals, on various occasions, the facilitators involved in providing facilities and shelter to the criminals have also been harassed, from whom modern automatic weapons have also been recovered.
Similarly, lists of other accused involved in murder, attempted murder, robbery, kidnapping, police encounters, robbery and other serious crimes were also prepared and sent to the Divisional SPs, who were referred to special task.
