Thirteen families recently affected in torrential rain in the district were granted financial support here in Deputy Commissioner, office Khyber.
Compensation cheques were given away by the DC, Khyber Abdunasir, additional DC (relief)Numan Ali Shah and Assistant Commissioner, Bara to the deserving ones in a ceremony held last day.
In his DC Khyber said that the government was aware of the miseries of the rain effectees and would never leave them in that time of need.
Every possible assistance would be provided to them, he vowed.
According to the administration official a total of 1.610 million rupees financial aid was granted to approximately 13 families across the district for human loss,injury or roofs and walls collapse in recently passed rain and earthquake.
The cheques were distributed after completion of the scrutiny process by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
