Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested five terrorists involved in JumaKhan Police Station attack which was foiled by the police.
Accordingto SSP Operations Peshawar Kashif Aftab Abbasi, as per details, police afterthe attacking on the above-mentioned police station followed terrorists andbusted their hideout.
“Terrorists hideout was busted by police,leading to the recovery of 25 hand-grenades, a Kalashnikov, pistols and ammunition,”he added.Sharingdetails, Kashif Abbasi added that a number of Wireless Walkie Talkie seats andpolice uniforms have also been seized during the police operation.
Thearrested terrorists have been identified as Nadeem, Kareem, Sawab and SyedanShah. Duringthe preliminary investigation, SSP Operation maintained, important revelationsare expected.Policesaid that the arrested terrorists were involved in different attacks onsecurity forces in the provincial capital, adding that they were also planningto carry out further attacks on police teams.
Hesaid that a former employee of the security forces was also a member of theterrorists. MrAbbasi claimed that a specialized team has been to carry-out investigation fromthe arrested terrorists, adding that important revelations are expected.
In a separate incident, at least four personswere killed in a fierce armed clash between two groups in Peshawar’s Tranabform area of Chamkani on Thursday.
Accordingto details shared with reporters by Rescue-1122, two groups resorted to heavyfiring at each other in the above-mentioned area of Peshawar, leaving fourpersons dead.
Theslain persons were identified as Gulab Sheer, Jehangir Khan, Qaiser Khan and Sheeraz,residents of Urmar-Payan area of Peshawar.Asper details, the slain persons were going home after obtaining their bails froma local court.
Thegroup had also clashed with each other earlier this month in which two personsWaqar, Jangreez and Owais Khan have sustained severe injuries.
