Police arrest killers of minor girl in Peshawar

Police claimed to have arrested the killers of an eight-year-old girl whose body was found at a canal.
SHO Police Station Tehkal Ahmadullah told reporters that two persons including a woman who were allegedly involved in hanging the girl in the limits of Tehkal Police Station have been arrested.
He said that the arrest was made a few hours after the incident on the direction of SP Cantt Division Waqas Rafiq.
According to details, after brutally killing Alishba, a resident of Palosi area of Peshawar, her body was dumped into the canal.
After the incident, a formal inquiry was started on the report of the girl’s father Hidayatullah.
A police team led by DSP Town Circle Sajjad Hussain launched an inquiry and arrested the accused in a few hours, said police.
During the initial investigation, the arrested accused woman has confessed to throwing the girl into the canal with the help of her brother Farhan and a Riksha driver over a domestic reason.
