Police arrest two mobile snatchers, 10 mobiles recovered

A police team led by DSP Suburb Circle Mukhtiar Ali and SHO Bhanamari Police Station Mudassar Hayat arrested two members of a gang involved in mobile snatching from citizens at a gun point, said a police handout.
Police claimed to have recovered 10 valuable mobile phones and weapons used for snatching smart-phones from citizens were also recovered.
According to a police preliminary investigation, the arrested persons have been identified as Umar Zaib and Awal Gul. Police said that Awal Gul is the resident of neighboring country Afghanistan who during the initial investigation confessed to being involved in mobile snatching crimes.
According to the details, police took action on a complaint on a person identified as Feroze. After registering a case, a police team formed to trace the gang.
Taking strict notice, SP City Division Salam Khalid, under the supervision of DSP Suburb Circle Muhammad Ali, formed a special team consisting of SHO Bhanamari Mudassar Hayat and other policemen.
The special team continued the investigation on modern scientific lines and finally arrested two members of the gang involved in the snatching cases.
Police said that cases were registered against the arrested persons and further investigation is underway.
