City police here Wednesday arrested murderer along with his facilitator from Hazarkhwni area of the city, police confirmed.
According to lodged FIR in Police Station Paharipura, Shakir along with his accomplice murdered a man, Jamal and looted Rs. 1.8 million rupees from him few days back. The victim Jamal was way home along his brother after exchanging money from Sarafa bazar of the city when they were gunned down.
The arrested confessed the crime also admitted their involvement in other acts of dacoity and larceny.
He also informed to police about his third co-accomplice. City Police has constituted special team under supervision of ASP Faqirabad to arrest the third accused.
SP City has informed that Sarfa bazar is most sensitive area where transaction of billions of rupees are on daily basis and police officials in plain clothes has been deputed to look after traders’ community adding police is not oblivious of the security of masses.
