Police on Tuesday claimed the arrest of six members of a gang involved in robbing a trader, Zahir Shah, in the Khalid Town area of Peshawar.
The Agha Mir Jani Shah police station conducted the operation, recovering Rs 20.27 million and arresting six persons.
The robbery, which occurred on October 9, 2024, was carried out with the assistance of Shah’s secretary, Muslim Khan, who was arrested alongside his accomplices.
Weapons and other items were also recovered, and further developments are expected as investigations continue.
Police said that during the operation two motorcycles, two pistols and cartridges have also been recovered from the arrested persons. The arrested persons are the residents of Peshawar, tribal district Mohmand and Bajaur.
Police team said that the a comprehensive operations was followed by a scientific investigation and interrogations of different suspects.
