Police say network involved in ice smuggling to Iran, Dubia

Police on Tuesday claimed to have successfully busted an organized network of smugglers involved in ice-smuggling to neighbouring countries,said a handout.
The operation, led by DSP Sher Afzal Khan and comprised of SHO Police Station Sarband Kaleemullah and others, resulted in the seizure of two kilogram of Ice and arrest of three suspects.
The arrested persons have been identified as Aqeel Khan, Hakeem Khan and Yar Khan residents of Sheen Qamar, an area of tribal district Khyber.
During preliminary investigation, the arrested suspects have confessed to being involved in the nefarious ice trade and identified the entire network.
A total of 2 kg of ice has been recovered from the secret compartments of the vehicle.
Similarly, the vehicle used in drug smuggling has also been taken into police custody.
Contacts are also being made at DPO Khyber district and diplomatic level for the arrest of other accused of the network
SP Cantt Waqas Rafiq told reporters that a case has been registered against the accused and investigation has been started.
