City Traffic Police(CTO) Qamar Hayat Khan distributed cash awards and appreciation certificates to officials and officers of traffic police in a ceremony held here on Tuesday at Traffic Headquarters Gulbahar.
The event was attended by DSPs, SP Cantt Traffic Inayat Ali, SP City Traffic Mohammad Saeed and other traffic officers.
Qamar Hayat Khan distributed cash rewards and certificates of appreciation to the officers and personnel for performing their best duties during Muharram and for providing travel facilities to the citizens by faithfully implementing the traffic plan, said a handout.
Chief Traffic Office said that City Traffic Police Peshawar considers it a priority to provide travel facilities to the citizens and it must be appreciated.
He said that traffic diversions were done during Muharram while encroachments were completely eliminated due to which the citizens did not face any kind of difficulties during Muharram.
City Traffic Police Peshawar has informed the citizens on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and FM Radio 88.6 by using IT reforms to keep the traffic flowing during Muharram.
Khan while addressing the function maintained that traffic police carried out many operations in other ongoing campaigns throughout the city including keeping the traffic system moving during Muharram.
