In order to resolve long standing disputes among families, city police launched a campaign in the provincial capital, said a statement issued from the capital city police here on Thursday.
In this connection, Mathra Police Station resolved a long-running dispute over the ownership of a house between the parties belonging to Chagarmati area on the outskirts of the city and obtained mutual consent between the parties.
In the jirga chaired by Mathra SHO Humayun Khan said that both parties Bawar Khan and Bakht Nazir took an oath to end the dispute.
The elders of the area appreciated the role of police in ending the long standing issue between two families, they said that people have always supported police in maintaining law and order situation and assured full cooperation in the future.
