In a significant operation, Bhanamani police have arrested a suspect, Muhammad Habib, and recovered 36 pistols and 1,400 cartridges of various calibers.
According to police, the operation was conducted in the Industrial Estate area of Bhanahmani, where Habib was attempting to smuggle the arms to other districts.
The police action is part of efforts to maintain law and order in the district, following directives from senior officials said police.
The officials said that the suspect has been booked, and an investigation was underway.
