Police solve blind murder case, accused held

In a major breakthrough, Faqirabad Police have successfully solved the blind murder case of primary school teacher Pervez Khan, who was killed in Afghan Colony on April 25. The case was cracked under the special directives of senior officers and the supervision of SP Faqirabad Division Muhammad Arshad Khan, DSP Faqirabad Circle Omar Afridi, SHO Faqirabad Police Station Rizwan Barki, and Investigation Officer Kamran Marwat.
According to police, the investigation—conducted using modern scientific techniques—led to the arrest of the suspects, including the victim’s elder brother. The investigation revealed that Fawad Khan, son of Qasim Jan and a resident of Mazara Shabqadar, had a business dispute with the victim’s brother-in-law, which eventually led him to orchestrate the murder.
He allegedly hired contract killers to murder Pervez Khan, who was found dead in Afghan Colony on April 25.
Falak Naz Gagiani, the deceased’s brother, had lodged an FIR with Faqirabad Police, reporting the murder against unknown suspects. Acting on the report, a special team was constituted by CCPO Peshawar Qasim Ali Khan and SSP Operations Masood Ahmed to trace the perpetrators.
The investigation team expanded its probe to include family members, close relatives, and associates of the deceased. During questioning, Fawad Khan reportedly confessed to his role in the murder, citing financial issues as the motive. The hired killer has also been taken into custody. Further investigations are ongoing.
Moreover, In a separate operation, Faqirabad Police arrested a man for allegedly murdering his wife following a domestic dispute. SHO Rizwan Barki led the swift action, arresting the accused within hours of the incident.
The suspect, identified as Adnan Alam, son of Mir Alam and Shah Noor Town, confessed during initial interrogation to killing his wife, daughter of Khalil-ur-Rehman. He stated that the murder occurred during a heated argument. Further investigations into the case are underway.
