Police unearthed 12 drug units in one-year, several arrested

In an effort to protect young generation from drugs, the Narcotic Eradication Teams (NETs) in the provincial capital and tribal district Khyber cracked down on drug pushers and its units.
According to police NET teams during the last one year in Peshawar has unearthed 12 drugs units and seized around 230kg ice, 673kg heroin, 63kg opium, 699kg hashish, and hundreds kg of chemicals.
On the direction of IGP KP Moazzam Jahan Ansari, ice and other drugs have been banned. Net teams have also been formed.
CCPO Abbas Ahsan, while expressing satisfaction over the operations carried out by the NET team during the current year, directed to further intensify the crackdown.
He also directed to further coordinate with the district administration and social welfare department in this regard.
