Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah underscored the critical role of political stability in ensuring the economic improvement of the country.
Shah said his party has a clear roadmap that would steer the country out of crisis and bring economic prosperity and stability.
The ATP chief called upon the business community to take the lead in tackling pressing issues.
He urged a proactive approach to address problems such as poverty, hunger, social and economic injustice, illiteracy etc.
Faiq was talking to a delegation of businessmen/investors, attached with real estate sector here on Sunday.
He said the business community’s role is crucial in reviving the ailing economy of the country.
But, he emphasized that the government should facilitate and provide incentives to the community.
Furthermore, he asserted that the government should focus on enhancing exports, agriculture and indigenous natural resources and reserves instead of continuously relying on foreign loans so that it can make Pakistan a financially self-reliant country but also free the nation from the clutches of foreign financial lenders.
Commenting on the current political scenario, the party chief said rulers have always betrayed people by false promises and claims and various slogans.
He held the previous government responsible for the current economic and political crisis in the country.
Unified efforts are crucial to overcome the current crisis situation, he asserted.
Faiq noted rulers have always deviated from their promises and they had brought destruction in every sector.
He said the right to live has been snatched from the people.
The ATP chairman said only the people should decide which political party would be better as only their decision could change the destiny of the country.
Shah emphasised there is absence of a functioning system in the country, saying without the true elected representatives, the country’s issues cannot be addressed.
