Power tariff is likely to be curtailed by 37 paisas per unit. A relief of Rs 4.50 billion is likely to be afforded to the electricity consumers under the head of monthly Fuel Adjustment .
Hearing of monthly FAs application for the month of September 2025 has been completed in National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) told NEPRA during the hearing electricity consumption declined by overall 5 percent during the month of September while no electricity was generated in China Power Hubb Generation Company,
CPPA filed application for reduction in tariff of electricity 37 paisas per unit and in the event of its approval relief amounting to Rs 4.50 billion is likely to be provided to the consumers.
