Power tariff scaled down by paisas 44 per unit in respect of June 2021 electricity bills

ISLAMABAD : National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has accorded approval to scale down Power tariff by 44 paisas per unit under Fuel Surcharge Adjustment (FAs) for the month of April and this reduction in tariff will be applicable to the electricity bills for the month of June.

NEPRA has said Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had requested to scale down electricity tariff by paisas 84 per unit.

Authority had made deduction of Rs 7.5 billion under FAS on temporary basis in the month of August 2020.

As per statistics filed by NPCC the authority has decided to release Rs 4.4 billion out of deduction made earlier.

The reduced tariff will be applicable to the bills for the month of June only.

The downward revised tariff will be applicable to the agriculture consumers and DISCOS.
