In a fiery address at the People’s Youth Organization convention, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President, Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, criticized the current provincial government under Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for its failure to address critical issues facing the province.
He announced plans to launch a series of protests against the provincial government, led by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, to hold it accountable for its failures in addressing key issues affecting the region.
Bacha highlighted concerns about peace and security, terrorism, inflation, load shedding, and the gas crisis, accusing the Chief Minister of abandoning his responsibilities while using provincial resources for personal political rallies and sit-ins.
The PPP leader and provincial president condemned the Chief Minister for leaving Pashtun youth vulnerable to tear gas and baton charges during protests, stating, “Long hair and beards cannot intimidate anyone; true courage comes from standing firm in the face of challenges.”
The People’s Party president announced that his party would soon launch protests to hold the provincial government accountable for the worsening economic and financial crises, widespread corruption in transfers, and the resurgence of terrorism.
He pointed out that Chief Minister Gandapur’s administration has failed to deliver on key promises, such as job creation and housing, leaving the people in misery.
Bacha reminded the audience of the People’s Party’s legacy, praising the sacrifices of Shaheed Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, and party workers in their fight for democracy and against dictatorship.
He called on PPP and PYO workers to stay alert, as the party will soon announce protests across the province to address the critical issues facing KP.
