PPP central leader Sherry Rehman has said her party is going to start long march from Karachi on February 27 hoping every citizen will participate in PPP long march against the present incompetent government.
She said this in a statement issued here Tuesday.
She went on to say “ those advising the people not to panic are now advising their cabinet not to panic.
Informations are there that government is going to jack up petroleum products prices by Rs 6 to Rs 12 per liter. At present petrol price is Rs 148 per liter. During its three years tenure this government has scaled up petroleum products price by Rs 53, If it stays at helm of affairs for two years more then it will next to impossible for the people to buy petrol.
Overall inflation ratio stands at 12 percent at present, she indicated. The inflation ratio for low income people surpasses 20 percent. In the prevailing situation the hike in the prices of petroleum products is not acceptable.
The government is focusing on saving its chair and it has failed to realize the economic woes of the common man, she added.
