Property dispute of Rs4.5m resolved amicably

PESHAWAR: A decade-old property dispute involving Rs4.5 million was amicably resolved through the intervention of the Capital City Police Peshawar during an open court proceeding, officials said. According to police, the dispute was between Ashraf and the opposing parties, Amjad and Nawaz Khan, and had remained unresolved for the past ten years. The matter was brought to the notice of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed during an open court session. Acting on his directives, Superintendent of Police (SP) Cantt Division Abdullah Ehsan assigned the case for resolution. Subsequently, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pushtkhara Circle Umar Afridi summoned both parties and facilitated negotiations between them. The dispute was settled amicably with mutual consent, bringing an end to the long-standing issue. Both parties expressed satisfaction over the outcome and thanked the CCPO, Capital City Police Peshawar, and DSP Umar Afridi for their efforts. They also appreciated the police for adopting people-friendly measures and playing an effective role in resolving public grievances. Crime Reporter
