Protest ended, Pak govt, AJK govt AAC reach historical agreement

Federal government has accepted all demands of Awami Action Committee (AAC) and the protest has been ended and normalcy has returned in Azad Kashmir.
After two days prolonged negotiations, federal government negotiation committee and AK government and Joint Action Committee of Azad Jammu and Kashmir have signed historical agreement to settle all issues.
A committee has also been constituted for the implementation of this agreement.
Welcoming the agreement Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has termed it a big success for Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
He said conspiracies and rumors have died and all the matters have been resolved amicably.
An important movement forward has come to open after protest and tension continuing in Azad Kashmir since several days . Talks between government of Pakistan, Azad Kashmir government and AAC have succeeded and historical agreement has been reached.
These talks were held under the directive of PM Shehbaz Sharif. Talks were presided over by Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
Federal ministers Rana Sana Ullah, Ahsan Iqbal, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry , engineer Amir Muqam and Qamar Zaman Kaira represented federal government,
Faisal Mumtaz Rathore and Diwan Ali Chughtai appeared on behalf of AJK government.
Raja Amjid, Shaukat Nawaz Mir and Anjum Zaman represented AAC.
A high level monitoring and implementation committee has been constituted to ensure implementation of agreement.
The committee will be headed by federal minister for Kashmir affairs, Engineer Amir Muqam. Representatives of Azad Kashmir government and AAC will also be included in the committee.
This committee will be responsible for implementation of decisions and resolution of likely disputes.
As per important points of agreement, this agreement contains 12 basic and 13 additional points.
The family members of those who were killed in October 01 and 02 incidents will be provided government job and the compensation equal to security personnel. Rs 10 lac will be paid to those who were injured.
A judicial commission will be constituted to probe into violent incidents.
Two new education boards will be established in Muzaffarabad and Poonch. They will be affiliated with federal board Islamabad.
Possession of land will be given to affectees of Mangla Dam expansion project within 30 days.
Amendments will be made in local government act-1990 within 90 days.
Azad Kashmir government will provide funds for health cards within 15 days. MRI and CT Scan machine will be provided in every district.
Pakistan government will provide Rs 10 billion for improvement in electricity system in Azad Kashmir.
Volume of Azad Kashmir cabinet will be limited to 20 ministers and advisors while number of secretaries will also not exceed 20.
Ehtesab Bureau and Anti Corruption will be merged and harmonized to NAB law.
A feasibility for two tunnels will be worked out on Kahori, Kamesar and Chapple -Neelum road.
A high level committee will be constituted on the matter of refugees members of assembly. Their perks and privileges will remain suspended till final report.
Kashmiri demonstrators who were arrested during October 2 and 3 will be released.
13 additional clauses are also included in the agreement. They include assigning the Banjosa, Muzaffarabad, Palandri, Dhir Kot, Mir pur and Rawla kot incidents to judicial commission. setting the time frame for Mirpur international airport project, equating the tax on transfer of property with Punjab and KP, completing feasibility of major water supply projects, establishing operation theatres and nurseries in Tehsil headquarters hospitals and construction of bridges.
