KARACHI: PTI has challenged practice and procedure ordinance in Sindh High Court (SHC). The petition said practice and procedure ordinance is sheer violation of Supreme Court (SC) decision. The bench led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa had maintained ordinance can come only in the event of emergency. It was further said in the petition it is decision of SC that no ordinance can be promulgated immediate after parliament session. CJP is violating his own decision. Government is involving the judges in the politics through ordinance. Ordinance be declared null and void and its implementation be stopped till the final decision of this case. After filing the petition, Haleem Adil Sheikh said while talking to media men what amendment is being brought we had come to file petition against it. Attempts are being made to undermine freedom of constitution. We had filed petition against practice and procedure act in 2023 . We stood with the judiciary in 2007 and we will continue to stand it now too. Online
