PESHAWAR
Provincial President PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha has criticized the one-year performance of the PTI government, stating that all its tall claims of eradicating corruption, restoring peace, empowering youth, and strengthening institutions have failed miserably.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said that corruption has reached unprecedented levels in the period of last one year and massive irregularities have been reported in wheat procurement, health sector, and government tenders. Reports of bidding in government tenders are taking place at the Chief Minister’s House are in the public domain, while the law and order situation in the province has also worsened.
Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha further stated that the PTI government has failed in the fulfillment of every promise related to youth, education, sports, and the economy. Neither playgrounds or stadiums were built, nor opportunities for positive youth activities provided.
He said that the government promised one million jobs, but 25,000 government employees were dismissed in only one month. Agriculture, which is the backbone of the provincial economy has been overburdened with additional taxes instead of being facilitated. Despite claims of an education emergency, thousands of children remain out of school, and many educational institutions lack basic facilities.
He added that there is no institution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that reflects any progress, and every sector is on decline. “This government has completely failed and is incapable of addressing the issues faced by the people,” lamented the PPP leader.
