BADIN
The public complaints were rising day to day regarding the inappropriate transport service from Hyderabad to Badin and vice versa.
For a one-way journey of 130 kilometres, vehicles carry 14 to 18 passengers in a single trip, charging each passenger 450 rupees as a vehicle fare.
According to sources, through this means transporters earn around 8,000 to 9,000 rupees per trip, yet they provide no basic facilities to passengers.
Passengers reported that vehicles often break down on the way, or the CNG runs out, causing unnecessary delays and significant inconvenience to the passengers.
This inefficient and unsafe transport service has become a danger to public safety, as CNG vehicles always remain at risk of accidents at any time.
Passengers were urging the Deputy Commissioner of Hyderabad, Mr Zain ul Abideen Memon, and Deputy Commissioner of Badin, Mr Yasir Bhatti, to take immediate notice of the unsafe transport service and ensure the protection of passengers’ lives and property.
They requested a safer and more reliable transport service so the public can avail safe and secure travel.
