LAHORE: After dacoits, robbers and drug smugglers, the CCD will now also be able to take action against those looting people through online or electronic devices as the Punjab government has decided to give powers to the CCD for the purpose. It has been learnt that the decision has been taken in the wake of an extraordinary increase in incidents of looting innocent people, who are deprived of their lifelong savings. Especially, salaried people and businessmen easily fall prey to such elements, who do not even spare the recipients of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). It has also been learnt that these people are also involved in short-term kidnappings, but cases are not registered against them. News Agency
