Punjab, Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad moved to the Team event quarter-finals in the All Pakistan Boys and Girls Table Tennis Championship being played at Abdul Wali Khan Sports Complex on Saturday.
Punjab recorded victory against merger tribal district, Swabi team beat Azad Jammu and Kashmir by 3-0, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-A beat KP Railways by 3-0. In the Women event Khyber Pakhtunkhwa beat Islamabad by 3-0. In the pre-quarter-final Team event, Punjab-A Yousaf beat Rohullah by 3-0, Zainb of Punjab-B Junaid Khan of Merger Tribal areas by 3-0. Hamza of Swabi beat Aziz of AJK by 3-0, Jawad beat Eman and Aziz beat Junaid by 3-0.
KP-A Shayan beat Afaq of KP Railways, Haseeb Khawjah of KP Railways beat Basit Ali by 3-0 and moved to the quarter-finals.
In the Women event Nimra of KP beat Hayat by 3-1, Iqra beat Saira by 3-0, Zainab beat Bena by 3-0. Huma beat Haleema by 3-0 and Maryum beat Huria by 3-0. Table Tennis Senior Coach Nadeem Sajid of Islamabad was the chief guest on this occasion and the players were introduced to him.
