Lahore (Online): AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Thursday termed the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s speech to United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) a need of the hour and highlighted the Kashmir issue in accordance with United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
While talking to media he termed the Prime Minister’s address balanced and said it covered all national and international issues, including Kashmir issue.
He said the Prime Minister had presented Pakistan’s stance on all issues of national importance. Raja Farooq Haider said, after a long time Kashmir issue was highlighted in UNGA.
He lauded Nawaz Sharif for courageously highlighting the Kashmir cause. AJK Premier said Nawaz Sharif addressed UNGA as per expectations of the nation.
He said the Prime Minister had asserted that Pakistan was a peace loving country which did not want confrontation with any country. Raja Farooq said at all international forums, Pakistan was already exposing the atrocities of Indian armed forces in Occupied Kashmir and the
Prime Minister highlighted the right to self-determination of the Kashmiris.
He said PM Nawaz appraised the world about massive human rights violations being committed in the Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) to suppress innocent Kashmiris.
Farooq Haider said it was for the first time in the history of the countrythat an elected Prime Minister pleaded Kashmiri’s case for their right to
self-determination in such a strong way. He said the way Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif presented the issue of Kashmir in front of international community was indeed unprecedented.
