Interior Minister reiterates that PM Imran Khan will not be going anywhere even if Nawaz returns

Interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said Sunday that government had nothing to do with return of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and offered him a return visa at own expense.
Addressing to a press conference in Karachi, the minister said former premier had ‘ran away’ after malingering but he was alright. “If Nawaz Sharif wants to come back, I offer him a return ticket on my own expense” federal minister said, adding that a visa would be provided to Nawaz Sharif within a time limit of 24 hours.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan ‘was not going anywhere’. Imran Khan would fight corrupt mafias till his last breath. Nawaz Sharif had nothing to do except criticizing state institutions, he maintained.
Sheikh Rasheed, while accepting inflation was high in the country said that masses were declaring current government responsible for inflation. “Previous governments are responsible for inflation. Institutions make policies of 20 years. We want to help Taliban. Taliban has ensured us that they will not let use their ground for terrorism.” However, he clarified.
He said recent OIC conference in Islamabad remained successful under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. “Afghan government has assured Islamabad that its soil will not be used against any other country, including Pakistan.” He maintained.
He expressed regret that Muslims of India are not free to perform their religious obligations due to extremists’ policies being pursued by Modi-led regime.
Replying to a question, the minister made it clear that civil and military leadership are enjoying good relations, which is healthy sign for country’s development.
