Religious leaders from Thailand, Sri Lanka meet Commissioner

PESHAWAR: Prominent Buddhist religious leaders, FRA Anil Sakya from Thailand and Upali Anunayake Thero from Sri Lanka, visited Peshawar and called on the Commissioner Peshawar Division, Riaz Khan Mehsud. The Commissioner warmly received the distinguished guests and other accompanying religious scholars and hosted a dinner in their honor. During the meeting, the visiting delegation expressed that Pakistan, particularly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Peshawar was a peaceful and secure place for them. They highlighted that Peshawar and its surrounding areas are home to significant historical and sacred sites associated with Buddhism.
