Two modern and well-equipped ambulances were handed over to the district Rescue 1122 here in tehsil Jamrud, Khyber on Wednesday.
In this connection a simple but impressive gathering was organized that was attended by special advisor to Chief Minister(C&W) Muhammad Sohail Afridi as chief guest besides Assistant Commissioner, Jamrud Fahad Zia, Tehsil Municipal Officer Syed Noorullah and others.
He cut the ribbon to formally inaugurate the modern ambulance service in Khyber.
The advisor to CM was briefed on the activities and services of the district Rescue 1122.
Speaking on the occasion Muhammad Sohail Afridi said that traffic mishaps and emergencies happened more at Pak-Afghan highway therefore, the Rescue 1122, Khyber was in dire need of well-equipped additional ambulances.
The facility was provided to the Rescue 1122 to further improve their efficiency, he remarked.
As per vision of Imran Khan and CM Ali Amin Gandapur efforts will be made round the clock for the uplift of the area, he added.
He also lauded services of Rescue 1122, Khyber, provided to the tribesmen and assured every kind of assistance in supply of relief to the needy people of Khyber.
Earlier, the visiting guest was warmly welcomed by district emergency officer engineer Shareq Riaz Khattak and emergency officer engineer Baryal Mukhtyar on his arrival to the district headquarters of Rescue 1122 where a smart contingent of the Rescue 1122 officials presented him guard of honour.
