Rescue 1122 has responded to 3485 various types of emergencies across the Khyber in 2025.
This was said by the District emergency officer Shareq Riaz Khattak while revealing the annual performance report of the Rescue 1122, Khyber last day.
He said that the district Rescue 1122 provided timely services in 3485 different emergencies in addition to 1431 referral cases.
Sharing details of these emergencies, he said rescue teams responded to over 2654 medical emergencies and 367 traffic accidents.
He maintained that in the same way, the Rescue 112, Khyber supplied services in 78 fire incidents, 09 drowning incidents, 158 firing and quarrel related incidents, 05 of building falling cases, 06 incidents involving explosions, 208 recovery and other emergencies.
As many as 4704 other emergencies were successfully tackled, provided medical aid to patients and transported them to different hospitals of the district and down towns for proper medical treatment, he revealed.
A total of 176061 calls had been received in Rescue 1122, Khyber in 2025 out of which 36438 calls were fake, the report stated.
Large number of fake calls not only disrupt the routine activities of the Rescue officials but also affect their efficiency, district emergency officer said.
Shareq Riaz Khattak reaffirmed that the Rescue crew will prepare round the clock to continue to serve the public with the same dedication in the future and to protect lives and property.
He urged the masses to avoid fake calls to the Rescue 1122 and the contact the service only in time of emergency.
To create awareness, how to respond in emergencies, training sessions will be organized for the general masses in the near future, he informed.
