Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Revenue and Estates Tariq Mahmood Aryani suspended the Tehsildar of Takht Bhai after receiving multiple public complaints regarding delays in revenue cases and alleged misconduct during a surprise visit to the Service Delivery Centre.
During the inspection, the minister reviewed the provision of revenue services, office operations, and the performance of various sections. He also interacted directly with members of the public to hear their grievances, complaints, and suggestions regarding service delivery. Several citizens raised concerns over delays in the disposal of revenue matters and the conduct of the Tehsildar, prompting the minister to order his immediate removal.
Speaking on the occasion, Aryani said negligence in public service, misuse of authority, corruption, and inappropriate behaviour towards citizens would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He stressed that public servants are accountable to the people and must perform their duties with integrity, transparency, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility.
The minister also inspected the offices of the Sub-Registrar and the Assistant Commissioner, along with other relevant sections. He reviewed official records, examined service delivery mechanisms, and assessed the facilities available to the public. He directed the concerned officers to improve the quality, efficiency, and responsiveness of public services.
He also directed all revenue officers and staff to treat citizens with courtesy and respect, resolve their issues on a priority basis, and ensure the timely delivery of services, saying that public confidence remained the true measure of the government’s performance.
