Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) organized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s first-ever symposium on pediatric cardiac diseases and treatment, bringing together leading experts to discuss advanced surgical techniques and modern interventional approaches for congenital heart diseases in children.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The symposium highlighted state-of-the-art pediatric cardiac care, including latest surgical methods and minimally invasive procedures aimed at improving clinical outcomes for young cardiac patients.
Chairman RMI Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rehman along with renowned pediatric cardiac surgeons from across Pakistan participated in the event.
“This first-of-its-kind symposium in the province is a major milestone for RMI in strengthening pediatric cardiac services in KP,” said RMI CEO Shafique ur Rehman.
He added that the Sehat Sahulat Program has been playing a pivotal role in enabling access to life-saving cardiac treatment for children across the province.
The CEO urged the Governor to extend support in further advancing healthcare technology at RMI to better serve the community.
Commending RMI’s efforts, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa praised the institute’s significant contribution to advancing healthcare facilities in the province.
He further expressed willingness to collaborate with RMI in developing financial support mechanisms for public benefit and assured efforts to facilitate discussions with the provincial government regarding Rehman University.
“I am grateful to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rehman for organizing this important symposium and bringing together top experts for the welfare of our children,” Governor Faisal Karim Kundi stated.
