Police in Kohat on Saturday claimed to have arrested an accused who shot dead a bank manager on resistance during a bank robbery some days ago.
DPO Kohat, Umar Khan told media persons here that Billi Tang police of Kohat have arrested the killer of the bank manager after restless efforts and investigation on scientific lines.
He said following a successful investigation, police traced the killer and conducted a raid on the possible hideout of the suspect in the vicinity of Billi Tang police station.
During the raid the accused was arrested and an amount of Rs 190,000 and the weapon used in the bank robbery was recovered from his possession. The accused was shifted to Bili Tang police station for further legal procedure.
The DPO said accused involved in attacking lives and properties of the people could not escape the grip of law. He also commended the police performance for tracing and arresting the accused.
