RTS holds awareness moot in Landi Kotal

An awareness meeting themed introduction to “Right to Public Service Commission” (RTS) was initiated here in the Assistant Commissioner (AC) office in Landi Kotal on Tuesday.
The activity was organized by RTS, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and officials of various departments including Health,Forest,Public health Tehsildar,Patwari Tehsil Municipal Authority(TMA),Zakat Committee and members of journalists community.
While briefing aims and purposes of the RTS district monitoring officer Mr Tashfeen said that it has been set up under 2014 Act and has been extended to merged tribal districts to benefit the tribesmen of the prevailed services in a better way.
There are three mandates of RTS (1) transparency (2) time bounded services and (3) quality of services, he remarked.
He added that they have so far 41 notified services and its mandate is to further ease public services and the citizens’ avail services, delivered by different departments more easily.
In addition with that services like getting of domicile, Zakat, Death and Birth certificates, lodging of FIR etc to improve and digitalize the system, he added and said 39 further more services pertaining industry and labor have been publicized and suggestions and input from public are invited through press and general awareness publication.
He maintained that the essence is to formulate a system based on comeuppance and deserts and the visiting citizen can easily avail quality services in mandatory time.
Awareness moots are in progress to inform the people of the facility, he remarked.
Akbar Iftekhar, AC,Landi Kotal appreciated the RTS and said that it will further boost public servicing of the government departments.
He urged the participants to utilize all their energies serving the masses in good manner.
