Safety measures taken in Mangah of mpox patient

Protective measures have been started in the Mangah area of the monkey pox patient, while protective kits were provided to the affected patient under the supervision of DHO Dr. Javed Iqbal, a press statement says.
According to the statement disinfectant spray is also being done in the area. DHO Dr. Javed Iqbal said that the patient was quarantined at home where his condition is better and out of danger. Meanwhile, under the public agenda program of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, DC Mardan Mian Behzad Adil visited Mardan Medical Complex and DHQ Hospital. DHO Mardan Javed Iqbal and Additional Assistant Commissioner Mardan Shagufta Sarwar were also with him.
He also visited various wards and labs of the hospital and especially the monkeypox ward and took information about the arrangements and facilities and services available there.
On this occasion, he said that providing the best health facilities to the people is one of the topmost priorities of the present government. He directed the staff to provide best health-care facilities to the patients.
It may be noted that the first death from covid 19 virus also occurred in the same union council Manga where the covid 19 patient was returned from Saudai Arabia. However a 34 year old man identified as Saed Muslim residence district Dir currently living at Manga Union Council who on 3rd August returned from Saudi Arabia tested positive for the monkeypox virus. Sources added that he was admitted for treatment however later on he escaped from the hospital.
