Advisor to Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Barrister Dr. Saif has said that the “fake federal government” has once again burdened the people by dropping a petrol bomb, severely affecting the poor and middle class.
He said that the sudden increase in petrol prices was a clear proof of the government’s insensitivity and enmity towards the people. He added that a petrol hike means a new wave of inflation affecting every sector.
Barrister Saif stated that during Imran Khan’s tenure, petrol was available at only Rs150 per liter, while today the public was not getting any relief even at double the price. He said the prices of essential commodities have risen to such an extent that it has become impossible for the poor to even light their stoves.
Barrister Dr. Saif further said that the fake federal government has pushed the people to the brink of hunger, poverty, and starvation. Flour, sugar, ghee, and pulses are now out of reach for the common man, while the rulers remain busy in their luxuries and corruption.
He said that the continuous rise in electricity, gas, and petrol prices every month is the height of cruelty, and such oppression cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.
