The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Sakura Bus service, a transport facility and designated bus stops in Abbottabad will be inaugurated on April 30. Speaker Provincial Assembly, Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani will be the Chief Guest at the Jalal Baba Auditorium. The UNOPS in Pakistan in partnership with Transport and Mass Transit Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and with financial support of the government of Japan has initiated the Women Bus Project.
Under the Pilot Project 14 specially designed buses are procured of which 7 buses each for Abbottabad and Mardan.
In addition to the buses, 15 designated bus stops have also been constructed on the designated route in Abbottabad.
