ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) constitutional bench has dismissed the petition against extension in tenure of Chief of Army Staff Gen Asim Munir. The court dismissed the petition being not persuaded . The objections raised by registrar office related to non maintainability of the petition were kept maintained. The petition filed by Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi against the extension in tenure of army chief Gen Asim Munir came up for hearing before 7-member constitutional bench presided over by Justice Amin ud Din Tuesday. The court while announcing the decision of the case dismissed the petition. The court maintained the registrar office objection that petition is non maintainable.
