ISLAMABAD; Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani of Islamabad High Court (IHC) has said to his view Supreme Court (SC) full bench will hear 26th constitutional amendment ultimately. “26th constitutional amendment is based on a letter which has changed system of entire country. To my vies SC full bench will hear 26th amendment. Robust media is needed which should place every thing before people. Strong bar is needed from where judges could be selected. Every bar has right that place is given to it. We will soon return judges from Islamabad who have come on deputation. We will appoint Islamabad judges here, he said this while addressing ceremony of IHC here Tuesday. Today bar had invited me to tea. Then I was asked to give certificate to some lawyers. Then I was told these certificates are 60. Then I came to know that media is too here. This sparked laughter in the hall. This image is there that judges from outside are appointed here and right of judges of Islamabad stand revoked. This should be done that whosoever judge is appointed he is from Islamabad. What struggle is being waged by IHC Bar council and Association is appreciable. We can see Pakistan on stages of development due to correct interpretation of law. We can not disappoint you from our institutions. Such phases come in the history of Pakistan. We want such judges who maintain sanctity of judiciary. People are pinning hopes on judiciary, parliament and media, he added.
