KARACHI: Supreme Court (SC) Karachi registry has issued written decision on the request of former administrative judge of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) who was stripped of his powers in Mustafa Amir case. The court expunged Sindh High Court (SHC) remarks against the judge. Former administrative judge was stripped of his powers in Mustafa Amir case. SC Karachi registry has issued written decision of 3-member larger bench on the petition filed by former administrative judge in Mustafa Amir case. It has been said in the decision the petitioner was appointed as judge by Sindh government in September 2023 and he had full powers about decisions in remand and custody matters legally. Former administrative judge was stripped of powers in Mustafa Amir case. Upon it he resorted to SC. The SC while announcing judgment expunged the SHC remarks making it clear Judge had right to give decision under his powers.
