SC issues written order its April 24 hearing

Trial of civilians in military courts
ISLAMABAD
Supreme Court (SC) has issued written order regarding its April 24 hearing in connection with case pertaining to trial of civilians in military courts.
It was said in the order that at the inception of hearing Attorney General (AG) filed list of 20 persons who were released.
All the lawyers requested the court to seek decisions from the AG in connection with release of 20 persons. AG should file in SC the decisions made in the cases of 20 persons.
Khawaja Ahmad Hussain counsel for the petitioner raised objection on bench and referred to order of previous hearing of the case.
Suleman Akram Raja and Aitzaz Ahsan too gave arguments in connection with constitution of larger bench.
The learned lawyers were asked if they wanted decision on larger bench.
The lawyers took the plea for putting submissions before committee.
It was further said in the order considering the plea of the lawyers of respondents proper we consider it appropriate to put the matter before committee.
The committee will decide about the lawyers pleas on the matter of larger bench.
Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi while declaring the matter freedom of citizens gave observation for fixing the matter for hearing again soon.
