PESHAWAR
On proposal of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and direction of the IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, SCCI and police department have launched practical steps for establishment of a Police Services Centre at the chamber house.
According to details, SCCI president Fazal Moqeem Khan paid a visit to ‘Police Sahulat Markaz’ adjacent to Sharqi Police Station in Saddar Peshawar wherein he was briefed by police officials regarding the facilities at the centre.
SCCI secretary general Muqtasid Ahsan was also accompanied by the chamber president Fazal Moqee Khan during the visit.
Moqeem inspected various sections of the Police Sahulat Centre and held discussions with police officials and ordinary citizens, visiting the centre.
SCCI president Fazal Moqeem Khan presented a proposal of setting up a police services facility at the chamber house during the visit of the IGP KP Zulfiqar Hameed in the SCCI house.
IGP KP Zulfiqar Hameed on the spot issued instructions to CCPO Qasim Ali Khan and SSP Operation Peshawar Masood Ahmad Bangash to work on the SCCI proposal.
Following the instructions, the police department begins working on the joint project.
Moqeem praised prompt services to people through the Police Sahulat centre.
He assured the SCCI will utilize all available resources to ensure timely implementation of the proposed joint project.
The present SCCI leadership and cabinet are fully committed to provide all kinds of facilities and resolve business community issues through federal, provincial governments and relevant departments, Moqeem said.
He said the chamber has played a pivotal role in raising business community issues at government offices, parliament houses, and relevant forums and with relevant authorities.
No stone will remain unturned to resolve business community problems, Moqeem vowed.
He asked the traders community to send proposals in writing to take up with relevant departments at federal and provincial level to resolve them amicably.
