SCCI delegation visits Fort Balahisar


Islamabad: A delegation comprising fifty members from the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited the historic Balahisar Fort. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Inspector General Frontier Corps North, Major General Noor Wali Khan. The delegation was provided insights into the rich history of Frontier Corps North and highlighted ongoing peace and welfare initiatives across various areas including Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Swat, Malakand and Chitral. During the interactive session, IGFC Major General Noor Wali Khan commended the pivotal role played by the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in driving the economic development of the country. He further elaborated on the resources available to bolster trade activities along the Pak-Afghan border, particularly at Torkham, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to enhance trade prospects in the region. The delegation expressed gratitude towards the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps for their relentless efforts in establishing peace and fostering development in KPK. The delegation presented proposals aimed at facilitating smoother cross-border trade operations, including initiatives to streamline merchandise movement between Torkham and Nawapas. Our Correspondent
