SCCI presents a holistic roadmap to boost mutual Pak-Uzbek trade and economic relations

Key meeting between SCCI chief Junaid Altaf and Uzbekistan Deputy Minister Gulamov held at the sideline of the chamber sponsored-Business Excellence Award and Investment Conference 2026

Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has advanced its efforts to establish a strong business to business linkages between Pakistan and Uzbekistan through joint ventures and the public-private partnership initiative.
A concrete proposal has tabled by SCCI President Junaid Altaf during a meeting with Mr Shokhrukh Gulamov, the Deputy Minister for Investments, Industry and Trade of Republic of Uzbekistan at sideline of the Business Excellence Award and Conference, hosted by the chamber in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, said in a press release here on Thursday.
Meeting was attended by Trade & Investment Counsellor Mr. Zaheer Abbas, former president SCCI Faiz Muhammad, former vice president Haris Mufti, Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan and Tariq Sethi, Engr. Said Mehmood, Laiq Jan, Dr. Muhibullah Afridi, Atif Shehzad and Shehzad Qaiser and others.
The participants thoroughly discuss opportunities for enhancing bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
The meeting emphasized on strengthening business-to-business collaboration, promoting investment partnerships, and exploring new avenues for commercial engagement between the two countries.
Both sides expressed a shared commitment to fostering stronger economic ties and expanding cooperation for mutual growth and prosperity.
President Junaid Altaf informed the meeting that SCCI has initiated vigorous efforts to boost the bilateral trade and economic relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, adding that the holding of Excellence Award and Investment Conference is part of these efforts, which had been conducted successfully.
The chamber president vowed to continue ongoing joint initiatives to take mutual benefits from each other’s experience, tapping potentials efficiently and establishing strong business to business linkages between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
