SCCI raises issue of entry ban of goods-laden vehicles to industrial estate with authorities

Following the proactive efforts of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an alternative route has been identified for entry of goods-laden vehicles in Hayatabad Industrial Estate Peshawar so that it will resolve the issues of the business community.
According to the details, a delegation of traders led by SCCI president Fazal Moqeem Khan held a meeting with Commissioner Peshawar Riaz Mehsud.
The delegation consisted of Siyar Khan, Arshad Khan and Amjad Khan and others.
The meeting was apprised about apprehensions of the business community regarding the ban on entry of goods-laden containers to Hayatabad Industrial Estate Peshawar.
Commissioner Peshawar in the meeting directed officials concerned to resolve the issue by visiting the site.
By swiftly taking action, ADC F&P Peshawar Asghar Surani and SHO, RMT visited the main gate of RMT and reviewed the overall situation.
After analyzing the situation on the ground, the senior officials have identified a route for entry of containers behind the Hayatabad Industrial Estate Peshawar.
In this regard, a report will be submitted to Commissioner Peshawar to remove restrictions on entry of goods-laden vehicles to the Industrial estate Peshawar.
Fazal Moqeem while speaking on the occasion took the issue, stressing upon the provincial government and local administration to take concrete steps for ease of doing business.
The SCCI chief also mentioned the increase of ‘flight of capital’ and ‘brain drain’ from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa owing to the prevailing circumstances.
Moqeem asked for provision of one window facilitation services to taxpayers and business community and ensure implementation of business-friendly policies at every level.
Earlier, members of the business community hailed SCCI for taking up and resolving the issue of the entry ban on goods-laden vehicles to Hayatabad Industrial Estate Peshawar.
